United Nations Security Council Consultations: United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN)

The Security Council today heard a briefing from the Representative of the Secretary General for Nepal, Karin Langren.

RSG Langren updated the Council on the latest political situation in Nepal. Landgren also set out UNMIN’s advanced preparations for leaving Nepal on 15 January 2011.

Members of the Security Council members thanked RSG Landgren and the UNMIN team for their efforts in assisting the people of Nepal as they work to complete the peace process. Members of the Security Council also reaffirmed their support for the peace process.
