Bosnia and Herzegovina Establishes Diplomatic Relations with the Dominican RepublicOn June 23rd, 2009, Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations Ambassador Ivan Barbalic and Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the UN Ambassador Federico Alberto Cuello Camilo signed a Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dominican Republic. The signing ceremony was held in the Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN in New York.

During the conversation which followed the ceremony of signing the Joint Communiqué, Permanent Representatives Barbalic and Cuello Camilo expressed their satisfaction with the fact that diplomatic relations between the two countries were formally established. They also exchanged views on possibilities for bilateral cooperation and current issues in the United Nations.
