Bosnia and Herzegovina Establishes Diplomatic Relations with the Republic of Djibouti and the Independent State of Samoa
On March 17th, 2009, Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations Ivan Barbalic and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Djibouti to the UN Roble Olhaye signed a Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Djibouti. A ceremony for the signing of the Joint Communiqué was held in the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Djibouti in New York.
After the signing ceremony, Ambassadors Barbalic and Olhaye voiced their satisfaction with the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The interlocutors also exchanged views on possibilities for bilateral cooperation and current issues in the United Nations.
Prior to this, on March 13th, 2009, BiH’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ivan Barbalic and Permanent Representative of the Independent State of Samoa to the UN Ali’ioaiga Feturi Elisaia also signed a Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Independent State of Samoa.
