Meeting of Bosnia and Herzegovina and NATO Delegations held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, dedicated to reconciliation of the Individual Partnership Program (IPP) of BiH for 2011
The Delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the Head of Department for Peace and Security in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Ambassador Fuad Šabeta, met with the NATO Delegation on December 7, 2010, at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The BiH Delegation consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Defense of BiH, Armed Forces of BiH and the Ministry of Security of BiH.
The meeting was devoted to reconciliation of the Individual Partnership Program (IPP) of BiH for 2011, which represents the 5th IPP that BiH has undertaken since joining the NATO Partnership for Peace (PfP) in 2006. The IPP for 2011 contains 195 activities that are selected by the BiH institutions from the Euro Atlantic working program of NATO in order to continue adjustments of the BiH institutions to NATO standards in the areas of military defense, security and civil-military cooperation.
So far, through the activities offered by the IPP, more than 1000 employees from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces, Ministry of Security and Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH passed the training.
NATO Delegation has expressed satisfaction with the continuation of cooperation within the IPP, and praised the BiH institutions because the degree of implementation of the previous IPPs is very high and is higher than the average of other countries that use this program, with the assessment that BiH is proved to be able to fulfill what has been planned.
