Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov Congratulates Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Election as a Non-Permanent Member of the UN Security Council

On October 26th, 2009, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj received a letter from Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, in which the latter extended his congratulations on the election of Bosnia and Herzegovina to a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council for the 2010-2011 term.

“We are willing to cooperate closely with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UN Security Council,” Minister Lavrov writes in his letter, expressing the hope that, by working together in the UN Security Council, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Russian Federation will also contribute to the further development of the good relations they currently enjoy.
