The traditional UN Bazaar, organized by the wife of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, was held on May 15th, 2009. The wives of Ambassadors accredited to the UN took part in this event and, this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated in the UN Bazaar.

The numerous diplomats and guests were able to purchase handmade items as well as national cuisine and drinks from all UN Member States, while the proceeds from the event will be donated to vulnerable women’s organizations in the world through UN agencies.

UN Secretary General visited BiH’s stall at the fair along with his wife. The background of our country’s stall was decorated with a poster for the reception and economic and tourist promotion which BiH is organizing this week as part of its candidature for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council for the 2010-2011 term.
